Birch Tree

These trees are spread out throughout the forest.  They mostly grow along the margins of the forest where they are less shaded by large trees.  It is an ornamental or shade tree, and can grow up to 70 feet.  At full maturity, its spread is 40 to 60 feet.  They usually have a medium –to-high growth rate.  It grows well in moist well grained soil.  These trees are subject to leaning because they bend easily in storms and many often adopt new angles.
